Happy New Year to you all and what a start we had to 2013 -one of the greatest Cowboy Capital Oprys of all time!
Sure hope you were here for the Opry on Tuesday, Jan. 1; we had a full house and our patrons sure got their monies worth! Special guests from Branson, Missouri, did a "bang-up job," not a person in the audience left without a smile!
CB Capital Opry
Talented artists Wade Benson Landry and his lovely wife, Theresa, blend in so perfectly with our crew and patrons you'd think they were from here. They have said numerous times that they love coming to Bandera, love the people here and just feel right at home. And it showed! Everyone enjoyed their musical talents and artistry, and wonderfully comical Cajun humor. What a great time we had on Jan. 1!
As a reminder, reserved seating is available for the February Opry so get your name on the list now. Gerry and Harriett Payne never let us down on their shows!
42 Tourney
We're off and running with our activities for this fabulous New Year!
The first 42 Tournament of 2013 takes place today, Jan. 10, and, depending on when you're reading this, there may still be time to join in the domino fun! Playtime is 12:30 pm.
Black & Red Ball
And, we're just weeks away from our annual Black and Red Ball - one of the outstanding events in Bandera County. The Silver Sage Board of Directors sponsors this gala and it's a fantastic and lavishly beautiful evening.
Slated for Saturday, Feb. 16, at The Farm Country Club on FM 2828, the ball features dinner, dancing and wonderful entertainment. Tickets are only $45. This would be a great Valentine treat for that special person in your life. More information will follow next week, but start planning now.
Happy New Year!
Here's a couple of New Year's quotes to ponder:
"May all your troubles last as long as your New Year's resolutions." Joey Adams
"Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account." Oscar Wilde
We hope one of your resolutions is to spend some time with us at the Silver Sage Community Center!
