Fresh off three district wins the previous week, the Bandera High School varsity baseball team was determined to keep their 10- game winning streak alive. Two big wins last week against Devine and Luling increased their winning margin to 12 straight games.

In the ranks of the Good Old Boys Golf League, a good many of the Boys will never see their 50s again. A lot of them are in their 70s, a few in their 80s, and as they add years to their years - the big thrills and happy moments tend to thin out like the blood in their veins and the hair on their heads. Admittedly, they take their pleasures - small as they may be - wherever they can find them.
